Australian Malayalee Islamic Association (AMIA)
Australian Malayalee Islamic Association (AMIA), Victoria, Australia, is a not for profit organization founded in 2009 in Melbourne is an initiative by the likeminded Muslim brothers from Kerala (state in India) living in Victoria with the primary objective of helping and being supportive each other in the initial phase of one’s migration and thereafter also to foster a friendly, mutually supportive and learning environment for the entire family by holding on to Islamic teachings, values and principles and to involve in charity works within the community.

Our Mission
Mission
- Support the Kerala Muslim community by providing a venue for sound Islamic information/ knowledge and education
- Understanding and appreciation of Islam in our daily life
- Islamic Da'wah within the community and outside - the proper presentation.
- Removing misconceptions about Islam - among less aware Muslims and non-Muslims.
- Guidance, Support and Advise for beginners (New Migrants & Students).
Objectives and functions
- Create religious awareness among members of the community
- Develop multinational multicultural unity
- Donate to the needy individuals and organizations within and outside the community.
- Provide guidance / assistance for Islamic education and other social activities for the wellbeing of the individuals and families.
- Respect and understanding of all religions and to join hands with them for peace and betterment.

- Arrange scholastic information sharing session on religion, social and cultural entities
- As part of the religious harmony, involve with all sections of the society in religious functions, get-togethers especially during the holy month of Ramadan (month of fasting).
